Wilsons Pie Shops
Wilsons Butchers, named "England's Best Butchers" November 2005, are noted for their Champion Pork Pies.
They have won countless numbers of awards and reached the top of their trade when they three times won the
Yorkshire Small Pork Pie Competition between 1999 and 2007.
They also won the coveted Old Pork Pie Appreciation Society Annual competition in 2005. Due to the success
of this side of the business, Wilsons have now opened two dedicated pie shops in Morley and Armley as well
as still selling pies at the Crossgates shop.
Of course, they could not have gained these accolades without their loyal, hardworking and experienced
members of staff. They have a successful training scheme to ensure that the entire team has a thorough knowledge
of the latest developments in our trade - and that they enjoy what they do.
All Wilsons pies and pasties are made from only the best locally sourced produce, and are made daily at their
Crossgates Shop and their new production bakery in Garforth.
As well as pork pies, Wilsons also produce a mouthwatering range of other pies and pasties, including scones
and apple pies. Their home made puff pastry is delicious, which is one of the reasons that their Sausage Rolls
and Steak Bakes are so popular.
Wilsons believe that the only way to sell pies is straight from the oven, this is why each shop bakes their
own pies to give you that famous straight from the oven taste. You might even have to wait for some coming out
of the oven, but, it will definitely be worth it!
