Speciality Pies & Specifications
Our square three tier wedding pork pies are in tiers of 7”, 9” and 11” in diameter, 3.5” deep, and are priced from £160.
Our round three tier wedding pork pies are in tiers of 8”, 9” and 10” in diameter, 4” deep, and are priced from £180.
Our round single tier Celebration Pork Pie is 10” in diameter, 3” deep and is priced from £45.
Personalised pastry text on top of your pie is added at no extra cost. Whilst most people opt for ‘Mrs & Mrs Smith 14/02/18’, ‘Just Married’ or ‘The Smiths’, we’re open to any weird and wonderful text you’d like (providing it physically fits on top of the pie!)
We can offer the following fillings for our speciality pork pies:
• Traditional Pork (Pork shoulder meat with our special blend of herbs & seasonings) – contains WHEAT, CELERY & SOYA
• Gala (Pork with egg) – contains WHEAT, CELERY, SOYA & EGG
• Huntsman (Pork with a layer of turkey breast topped with apple and apricot stuffing) – contains WHEAT, CELERY, SOYA & SULFITE
• Pork and Chilli (Pork mixed with chilli jam from the Yorkshire-based ‘Chilli Jam Man’) – contains WHEAT, CELERY, SOYA & ANCHOVY EXTRACT
• Pork and Black Pudding (Pork mixed with our homemade chopped black pudding) – contains WHEAT, CELERY, SOYA & EGG
• Pork and Stilton (Pork topped with (or mixed with) a layer of local Stilton Cheese) – contains WHEAT, CELERY, SOYA & MILK
Our Huntsman, Chilli and Black Pudding fillings are at an additional cost which varies by which pie you’d like them in; £15 for the bottom or middle tier and £10 for the top tier of a three tier wedding pie. For our Celebration Pork Pies, these would be at an additional cost of £15.
Additional costs for Pork and Stilton pies are quoted individually once we have got a weight and price for the cheese.
Whilst we don’t currently make Gluten Free version of our specialty pork pies, we do sell Gluten Free individual Pork Pies.
Collection and Delivery
All our speciality pork pies are handmade and baked in our Crossgates bakery. Pies are baked the afternoon before your chosen collection or courier collection date, allowed to cool and rest overnight and are jellied with our own recipe pie jelly the following morning.
Pies can be collected directly from our Crossgates store (LS15 8DX). Alternatively, collection can be arranged from one of our pie shops located in Morley (LS27 9PP), Armley (LS12 1UX) or Pontefract (WF8 1AL).
We offer local delivery on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays around the Leeds city centre area with our driver for a cost of £5.
We also deliver throughout the country (with the exception of the Scottish Highlands) with Parcelforce’s 24 hour delivery, at a cost of £20 for three tier wedding pies, and £9 for celebration pies.
For courier delivery, our pies are vacuum sealed, covered in ice packs and boxed in 48 hour insulated packaging, so they will remain fresh and delicious until they’re eaten.
Once your order has been collected by Parcelforce, you’ll receive consignment tracking information by text and/or e-mail. If your order would require courier delivery, we would suggest delivery at least 2 days before your wedding or event – just for peace of mind. In the very very rare case of a delivery issue, delivery can be rearranged for the following day and you won’t be pie-less for your big day!
Storage and Shelf Life
Whether your speciality pork pie has been delivered or collected, it must be kept refrigerated until it is ready to be eaten.
Our speciality pork pies have a shelf life of 6 days on collection or local delivery, or 4 days on arrival if delivered by a courier.
We ask for at least one month’s notice for our speciality pork pie orders.
If you’d like to go ahead with placing an order, you can simply let us know what pie you’d like, with which fillings and whether you would be collecting your order or would need it locally/courier delivered; we can then get back to you with a draft order and a quote.
We ask that a deposit of at least 50% is paid on placing your order, or the amount in full. Payment can be made either over the phone on 0113 264 5448 or via bank transfer depending what suits you best.
